Three steps

Submit

Your ID, a selfie holding it, and your legal name and ID number as they appear on the document.

We check

A Bildfie admin confirms the document is real and unexpired and that the face and details match.

You get the badge

The badge shows on your profile and listings. If something is wrong you are told why and can resubmit.

What you submit

  • A government ID. National ID, passport or driving licence: a clear photo of the physical document, front and back where it applies.
  • A selfie holding the ID, so we can match the person to the document.
  • Your legal name and ID number exactly as printed.

Documents are stored privately, never at a public address, and only the Bildfie team that reviews them can open them.

What we check

  • The document is real and not expired.
  • The name and number you typed match the document.
  • The face in the selfie matches the face on the ID.
  • You are the owner of the account, cross-checked with your phone or email where we can.

Every review is done by a person. We do not run automated face matching on your photos.

What Verified means, and what it does not

Worth knowing before you hire or get hired.

It means

  • The person behind the profile is a real, identifiable individual whose identity Bildfie holds on file.
  • Impersonators and duplicate accounts are much harder to run.

It does not mean

  • That their trade skills, licences or insurance have been checked.
  • That their past work was good or that they will deliver. Reviews, portfolio and ratings are separate signals.

Timelines

  • Review target: up to 3 business days, most within 24 hours.
  • If rejected: you get the reason in a notification and can resubmit straight away, with no penalty.

Honesty

Repeated fake or stolen documents lead to a permanent suspension and a report to the proper authority.
