Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, and how you can control them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include browser localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags.
2. Cookies we set
Essential (always on)
These are required for the site to work. You can't opt out via our banner.
- Bildfie session — keeps you signed in as you move between pages.
- CSRF token — protects forms from cross-site request forgery.
- Cookie-consent state — remembers your choice so we don't ask on every page.
Functional
- bf_saved —
localStorage; holds bookmarks for guests until they sign in. - bf_following —
localStorage; holds "Follow" state for companies for guests. - Recently viewed —
localStorage; personalises the "Recently viewed" strips.
Analytics (with your consent)
When you accept analytics, we may load Google Analytics (or an equivalent). It sets its own cookies to measure aggregate usage — page views, session duration, device type. IPs are anonymised where the provider supports it.
Payment gateway
When you complete a payment via IntaSend, cookies set by IntaSend's checkout page are used to secure the transaction. Those cookies are governed by the gateway's own policies.
3. How to control cookies
- Use the cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Every modern browser lets you review and delete cookies from Settings → Privacy.
- Setting your browser to block all cookies will break parts of the site — for example, you won't be able to sign in.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics via Google's browser add-on.
4. Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track browser signal for non-essential analytics: if we detect DNT, we do not load Google Analytics regardless of your cookie choice.
5. Changes
If we add new cookies (for example, a new analytics tool) we'll update this page and prompt you to re-consent. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change.
