Bildfie works because members can trust each other. These Community Standards explain what is and is not allowed in everything you post, send or offer on Bildfie: profiles, projects, bids, jobs, listings, messages, reviews, courses, group posts and files. They apply to everyone, everywhere on Bildfie, in every language.
When content or behaviour goes against these Standards, we remove it, limit it or take action on the account, as explained in How we enforce these Standards.
1.What we stand for
- Safety. Nobody should be harmed, threatened or cheated because of something on Bildfie.
- Honesty. People, work, items and prices are what they say they are.
- Respect. Members of every background, faith, tribe, nationality, gender and ability are treated with dignity.
- Privacy. Members are known by their first name, and their contact details stay private.
- Fair dealing. Deals are made and paid on Bildfie, so both sides are protected.
2.Contact details and off-platform deals
Not allowed, in any form, including spelled out, spaced out or hidden in pictures:
- phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal or other messaging handles;
- social-media profiles and links, outside websites and links to other marketplaces;
- till, paybill, buy-goods, bank or account numbers for paying outside Bildfie;
- asking someone to "call me", "move to WhatsApp" or "pay me directly".
Allowed: prices, sizes, quantities, dates, serial and IMEI numbers in the fields made for them, order and invoice numbers, plot, LR and house numbers, and addresses where the page asks for an address.
If our check stops your text, nothing is sent and your text stays with you to edit. If you believe the detail must stay, use Send for review in the pop-up and tell us why. Staff will approve it for you (for a set time), approve it for everyone (for example, a national hotline), or decline it. A review request is never counted against you.
3.Fraud, scams and dishonesty
- Fake or misleading projects, jobs, listings, bids, profiles, companies, certificates or portfolios.
- Pretending to be another person, a company, an official or Bildfie staff.
- Asking for upfront "fees" for a job, a loan, a visa or a prize; pyramid and get-rich-quick schemes.
- Selling stolen, counterfeit or fake goods, or items you do not own or are not allowed to sell.
- Reviews you wrote about yourself, paid for, swapped, or wrote without a real deal.
- Splitting deals, using several accounts or false information to avoid fees, limits or checks.
- Reporting a deal as failed, or a buyer as having robbed you, when it is not true.
4.Violence, threats and dangerous behaviour
- Threats of harm, including threats made "as a joke", and encouraging violence.
- Content that praises or supports terrorism, organised crime or violent groups.
- Offering or asking for weapons, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs, or dangerous chemicals.
- Encouraging self-harm. If you see someone at risk, report it and contact local emergency services.
- Unsafe work offers: on-site work must follow local safety and labour law.
5.Harassment, hate and bullying
- Attacks on people because of race, tribe, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- Insults, degrading language, repeated unwanted messages, and pressure after someone has said no.
- Sharing someone's private information, including their full name, photos or address, without their consent.
- Reviews that attack a person rather than describe the work or the deal.
6.Sexual content and the protection of children
- No nudity, pornography or sexual services, and no "adult" work disguised as other work.
- Zero tolerance for anything that sexualises or exploits a child. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities.
- Adults may contact children on Bildfie only within a course, through the protections in Children & Young People.
7.Illegal and restricted goods and services
Everything you offer must be legal where you and the other member are. Prohibited and restricted items are listed in the Selling & Marketplace Policy. Work that needs a licence (for example electrical, medical, legal or engineering work) may only be offered by people who hold it. Property must be yours to rent or sell, or you must be authorised to act for the owner (Property Listings & Rentals Policy).
8.Other people's work
Do not copy other people's photos, designs, plans, courses, music, software or brand names without permission. Portfolio items must be your own work or clearly show your part in it. Owners can report copies under the Intellectual Property Policy.
9.Spam and misuse of the platform
- Sending the same message or bid to many members, or messages unrelated to a deal.
- Keyword stuffing, misleading titles, wrong categories or tags to appear in more searches.
- Bots, scrapers and fake engagement (views, follows, likes).
- Links that lead to malware, phishing or sign-in pages pretending to be Bildfie.
10.Names and privacy between members
To protect members, Bildfie shows other members by their first name. Professionals can be found through skill search, and a client posting a project or job is not named until you bid or apply. Full names appear only on agreements, receipts and certificates. Do not post or ask for anyone's full name, ID number or private details in public places.
11.How we enforce these Standards
We find problems through automatic checks, staff review and member reports. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- stop a post before it goes live, or remove it;
- hold a post for review, especially a first post from an unverified account;
- limit features, such as messaging, bidding or selling;
- suspend or close the account, and keep the same email and phone number from opening a new one while it is closed;
- report illegal activity to the authorities.
Contact details: the warning path
- When text with contact details is stopped, you can edit it or send it for review. Nothing is sent.
- After 5 stopped tries on the same page, the text is cleared and this counts as one attempt.
- Each attempt brings a warning ("Warning 1 of 14"). At 14 attempts the account is closed.
- You can appeal. If we restore your account, it is on probation for 6 months. Any attempt during probation closes it again. A clean probation clears your record.
Appeals
If you think we made a mistake, reply to our notice, use the appeal page when you sign in, or contact support@bildfie.com. A different member of staff will look at it. We will tell you the result.
12.How to report
Every post, profile, listing and chat has a Report option. Pick the closest reason and add details. Reports are private: the person you report is not told who reported them. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first.
